After a sky-diving trip went terribly wrong, Jaime Sommers was left critically injured, without much hope for survival. But with the intervention of her boyfriend - the bionic Colonel Steve Austin - and his close friend Dr Rudy Wells, Jaime was soon reborn with extraordinary bionic powers and a lifelong job with Oscar Goldman at the Office of Scientific Intelligence.
But that wasn't to be the last life-threatening situation Jaime faced. Season 2 sees her battle to protect the homeland under attack from foreign powers, extra-terrestrials and even an Indian demon. With a life of kidnapping, surveillance, disguise and treachery, there's never a dull moment for the Bionic Woman!

Goldman agrees and has Jaime fitted with two bionic legs, a bionic right arm and an artificial bionic ear; so becoming the first female cyborg. The implants give her incredible strength and speed while her bionic ear can detect nearly any sound regardless of distance, volume or frequency. Jaime now leads a double life, one as a school teacher, the other as an agent for the Office of Scientific Investigations (OSI) battling fembots, spies, aliens and mad scientists.
