Television viewers got a fright in 1989, when TALES FROM THE CRYPT made the transition from EC comicbook to TV show. Hosted by the Cryptkeeper, each episode of the show offered a new, ghoulish tale for the audience to sink their teeth (or fangs) into. The show originated on HBO, and all six episodes from the first season are included here. It was such a success that myriad CRYPT-inspired spin-off's resulted, including an animated series, several feature films, and seemingly infinitesimal merchandising opportunities. A popular favorite among horror film fans, TALES FROM THE CRYPT also appeals to anyone who loves the visceral thrill of jumping out of their seat as some terrifying scenes unfold in front of them.

Like BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER crossed with BEVERLY HILLS 90210, VAMPIRE HIGH is about the everyday struggles of teenagers dealing with the difficulties of adolescence...except that they`re vampires. At a prestigious and isolated Mansbridge Manor boarding school, students from wealthy families are sent to become tomorrow`s leaders. But when night falls, out comes the school`s secret population, a group of youthful vampires whom the bloodsucking elite want to socialize to fit in with human beings. While some of the teens are willing to acquiesce, others are less eager to give up their predatory ways. VAMPIRE HIGH was a Canadian television production, and this release features the first four episodes re-edited into feature format.

The hit television program EMERGENCY! was a landmark in a number of ways. Created during the early years of paramedics and emergency medical procedures, the program featured the experiences of two likable EMS men, Roy DeSoto and John Cage, as they raced around Los Angeles saving people from a variety of life-threatening situations. Assisting them in their efforts are their allies and friends in the local hospital, police, and fire departments. Created by Jack Webb, the star and producer of DRAGNET, EMERGENCY! emphasized realism and a positive view of emergency institutions, much like Webb`s earlier program. In fact, it was even credited with spreading knowledge about EMS throughout the country, just as Webb intended. EMERGENCY! SEASON ONE contains the first 11 episodes of the program.

Errol Morris is one of the most insightful documentarians to ever work within the genre, with his Ocar-winning film, THE FOG OF WAR, finally allowing him some deserved exposure to a mainstream audience. In 2000 he took a step into the world of television, producing an innovate series called FIRST PERSON. Morris's quest for innovation in his chosen field knows no bounds, so for this show he wheeled out his Interrotron camera, designed so that subjects have to keep constant eye contact with the somewhat intimidating director. The series of interviews he conducted make up the basis for the show, with the guest subjects offering some remarkable musings on topics such as the hunt for a giant squid; a mother's unique attempt to come to terms with her son's suicide; the devious activities of credit card companies; a potentially perilous encounter with the Unabomber; and many others.
