President Bartlet (Martin Sheen) continues his residency in the White House during this fifth season of the popular NBC show. The lives of his backroom staff and family fall under as much scrutiny as the man himself, offering a fascinating glimpse of what life as the president of the United States could be like. The season begins with Bartlet`s daughter, Zoey, still in the hands of kidnappers. As the rescue effort gathers pace, art imitates life as suicide bombers, the Israel-Palestine conflict, and the threat of terrorism loom large--all of which were pertinent issues in 2004 when this season was shot. Meanwhile, Bartlet`s staff struggles to keep the press under control, the funeral for a former president finds Bartlet distracted by the situation in Saudi Arabia, a documentary crew descends on the White House, and a contamination alert breaks out in the West Wing. In this absorbing piece of television, Martin Sheen and the supporting cast deserve credit for their realistic portrayal of life in the White House.

Scott Bakula (STAR TREK - ENTERPRISE) stars as brilliant scientist Sam Beckett, who in experimenting with time travel, loses himself in a perpetual warp that catapults him into the bodies and lives of random people throughout time. While he temporarily inhabits a person's body, Sam also must solve a problem or mystery in that person's life (the solving of which triggers another jump). Continually trying to find a way to his home time, Sam has the help of Rear Admiral Albert Al Calavicci (Dean Stockwell), who appears, only to Sam, in hologram form, and the supercomputer Ziggy (voiced by Deborah Pratt), which provides clues for solving each episode's mystery. The hit television program EMERGENCY! was a landmark in a number of ways. Created during the early years of paramedics and emergency medical procedures, the program featured the experiences of two likable EMS men, Roy DeSoto and John Cage, as they raced around Los Angeles saving people from a variety of life-threatening situations. Assisting them in their efforts are their allies and friends in the local hospital, police, and fire departments. Created by Jack Webb, the star and producer of DRAGNET, EMERGENCY! emphasized realism and a positive view of emergency institutions, much like Webb`s earlier program. In fact, it was even credited with spreading knowledge about EMS throughout the country, just as Webb intended. EMERGENCY! SEASON 2 contains each episode from the show`s sophomore season.
