Showtime`s hit show QUEER AS FOLK has sparked a great deal of controversy, both for centering a show entirely around gay men, and for the subsequent portrayals of those men. Brian Kinney is the figure around whom the homosexual residents of a gay neighborhood in Pittsburgh coalesce. In SEASON FOUR, Brian`s relationship with Justin is strectched to its limits, but also matures at the same time. Michael and Ben, another couple on the show, have to deal with Ben`s sickness as well as the success of Michael`s comic book featuring a gay superhero. Finally, Melanie and Lindsay face a threat to their relationship when Lindsay begins experimenting with her sexuality. QUEER AS FOLK: SEASON FOUR continues the acclaimed melodrama by maintaining its psychological exploration of the characters, and the many facets of the gay lifestyle.

After the runaway success of their program All In The Family, the producing team of Norman Lear and Bud Yorkin took a cue from the successful British sitcom Steptoe and Son in order to create this smash vehicle for African-American comedian Redd Foxx. Sanford and Son details the comedically endless disagreements between Fred Sanford (Foxx), aging junkyard owner, and his 34 year-old son Lamont (Demond Wilson). Airing from 1972 to 1977, the show was NBC's most popular program for four of its five seasons and earned four Emmy nominations.
