Professor Edward Challenger is a fearless explorer, determined to prove that the Lost World really exists. Gathering together an oddball crew, Challenger sets out on his quest. There is soon dissent in the ranks, however, when it becomes apparent that some of the gang have less than honorable intentions. Some incredible discoveries await them on the mysterious isle, however, in the shape of dinosaurs, crocodiles, restless natives, and a whole lot more. Since its beginnings in the summer of 1969, the Hee Haw concert series has been entertaining audiences with its down-home brand of good country fun. Corny jokes and the best performers country music had to offer were the staples of this long-running show, a more rural take on the sketch comedy of Rowan & Martin`s LAUGH-IN. Hosted by country-music legends Buck Owens and Roy Clark, the show was in syndication for over 20 years after being dropped by CBS in 1971, and maintained its popularity through its good-natured, consciously hokey one-liners. The good people of Kornfield County are back once again for this fifth volume of the collection. When Gordon Shumway`s spacecraft crashed into the garage of the Tanners` suburban home, their previously ordinary lives took a bizarre turn. The last surviving citizen of his home planet Melmac, which has just been blown up, the furry, large-nosed creature has no place else to go, so the Tanners take him in, hide him from the authorities, and dub him ALF (short for Alien Life Form). Alf proceeded to crack wise about every aspect of earthling existence, while hunting the family cat and scaring the neighbors. The family was forever trying to keep the boisterous alien a secret, while he became accepted as one of the family. In the second season, ALF joins a monastery, foils a burglary, befriends a blind person, and is mistakenly kidnapped on Christmas.
