At the multinational corporation of Gracen and Gracen, executive Jim Profit (Adrian Pasdar) is the golden boy: handsome, effective, efficient, on the fast track to the company`s top positions. What his superiors don`t realize, however, is that Profit`s success is largely due to his pure and unadulterated ruthlessness. No tactic is too low or too unsavory for Profit, who uses blackmail, sex, murder, and more to get what he wants. But Profit has two problems that may stop him in his tracks: suspicious Gracen security chief Joanne Meltzer (Lisa Zane) and his own traumatic childhood experiences. PROFIT was short lived in its initial broadcast run on the Fox network, with only the pilot and three additional episodes being shown before the program was cancelled, presumably due to its subject matter and sociopathic protagonist. THE COMPLETE SERIES contains the two-part pilot and seven other episodes, including four that were never broadcast.

The hit television program EMERGENCY! was a landmark in a number of ways. Created during the early years of paramedics and emergency medical procedures, the program featured the experiences of two likable EMS men, Roy DeSoto and John Cage, as they raced around Los Angeles saving people from a variety of life-threatening situations. Assisting them in their efforts are their allies and friends in the local hospital, police, and fire departments. Created by Jack Webb, the star and producer of DRAGNET, EMERGENCY! emphasized realism and a positive view of emergency institutions, much like Webb`s earlier program. In fact, it was even credited with spreading knowledge about EMS throughout the country, just as Webb intended. EMERGENCY! SEASON ONE contains the first 11 episodes of the program.

One of television`s slickest and most entertaining shows, LAS VEGAS looks at the inner workings of one of the biggest casinos in the city of sin. Filmed on a nearly complete replica of the real-life Mandalay Bay, one of the largest sets ever built for a television program, LAS VEGAS centers on Big Ed Deline (James Caan), operator of the Montecito Casino. He employs a specialized staff of security personnel as well as a high-tech surveillance system to catch the cheaters and schemers who enter the facility.
