Jesse James found fame on the Discovery Channel`s MOTORCYCLE MANIA, as audiences became enamored of this real-life motorcycle outlaw. His next show, MONSTER GARAGE, continued to capitalize on that persona, creating a game show that allows car enthusiasts and fabricators to try their hand at a particular challenge. Each week, two teams are charged with modifying a vehicle so that it can be transformed into another--and highly unlikely--vehicle, which could be anything from a zamboni to a hot-dog vendor`s cart. The projects that don`t work out will be fed to the shredder by Jesse, but the best modifications win a sweet prize package. All, however, are examples of mechanical acumen and startling creativity. In the third season, a Rolls Royce is transformed into clean portable toilets, an all-girl team creates a dirt track racer, and a group of high-school students builds a chopper kit.

Errol Morris is one of the most insightful documentarians to ever work within the genre, with his Ocar-winning film, THE FOG OF WAR, finally allowing him some deserved exposure to a mainstream audience. In 2000 he took a step into the world of television, producing an innovate series called FIRST PERSON. Morris's quest for innovation in his chosen field knows no bounds, so for this show he wheeled out his Interrotron camera, designed so that subjects have to keep constant eye contact with the somewhat intimidating director. The series of interviews he conducted make up the basis for the show, with the guest subjects offering some remarkable musings on topics such as the hunt for a giant squid; a mother's unique attempt to come to terms with her son's suicide; the devious activities of credit card companies; a potentially perilous encounter with the Unabomber; and many others.

As a well-known physical comedian, Ritter, with his outlandish expressions, gestures, and mannerisms, delivers reliable laughs.
