When New York City cop Eddie Arlette (Mark Valley) bungles an important drug bust based on faulty info from a mysterious brunette, his boss ships him off to England to track down the woman and prevent the spread of a deadly new drug. Once in London, the brash New Yorker immediately clashes with his reserved British colleagues at Scotland Yard, which include the prim and proper Superintendent Nathanial Johnson (Colin Salmon) and eccentric detective Monty Pippin (Julian Rhind-Tutt), who enjoys frequenting married swingers' clubs.
