This Lifetime TV movie concerns a shocking event in a peaceful village of Amish farmers. A small child is found dead, and the locals cannot decide whether it was caused by nefarious means, or if it was a simple accident. Ellie Harrison (Mariska Hargitay) is the lawyer in charge of getting to the bottom of the mystery, while also defending her client, Katie (Alison Pill), who is the mother charged with murdering her own offspring. Katie insists she never even gave birth to the baby, despite evidence to the contrary, and Ellie finds this and other revelations to be an eye-opening surprise as she attempts to blend in with the Amish community. An intelligent thriller that tackles a number of pertinent issues, THE PLAIN TRUTH was one of the most-watched films on cable in 2004.

This made-for-television mystery is a contemporary version of the Agatha Christie book that was made into the classic 1974 all-star version starring Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall and Ingrid Bergman. This time around Hercule Poirot (Alfred Molina) uses modern technology to help solve the murder of a corrupt and devious Antiques dealer named Ratchett (Peter Strauss). Agatha Christie originally based MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS on the infamous Charles Lindbergh kidnapping case. This adaptation is given a current twist by making the despised Ratchett the abductor and murderer of the little girl of a wealthy software tycoon named Armstrong instead of a famed aviatrix. When Ratchett is found stabbed to death in his compartment, and the train comes to a halt as a result of a rock slide that is blocking the tracks, Poirot interrogates all of the passengers on the train. As the questioning proceeds, Poirot realizes that virtually everyone has some kind of connection to Armstrong. But who is responsible for the grisly murder? Only Poirot can solve the mystery with the help of his
little gray cells of the brain
(and a few technological gadgets like a laptop computer, palm pilot and VCR).

Few comedy shows manage to survive the lost of a primary cast member, but the British sex-fuelled romp COUPLING pulls it off in style with this fourth season of the show. The talented Richard Coyle and his loveable character Jeff may no longer be around, but the usual cast of Susan (Sarah Alexander), Steve (Jack Davenport), Sally, (Kate Isitt) Jane (Gina Bellman), and Patrick (Ben Miles) are still on board, alongside new guy Oliver (Richard Mylan). Saucy and salacious goings on soon erupt, with the storylines focusing on sex, sex, and more sex! But Susan is pregnant with Steve's baby this time around, and there are commitment issues to contend with for Patrick and Sally. Meanwhile, Jane is her usual spaced-out self, and Oliver manages to slide nicely into Jeff's shoes as the erratic, disaster prone black sheep of the crowd.
