SCTV Network: Volume 2 (DVD) SCTV Network: Volume 2 (DVD) » SCTV Network: Volume 2 (DVD)

With a run that started in September, 1978, the second season of SCTV cemented the already burgeoning reputations of the cast members involved. The show was born out of a frustration with the major networks lack of exposure for new comedic talent. Unable to get precious airtime for their skits, the SCTV crew simply formed their own network, and put themselves on the air! The cast where a bunch of future stars in the making, and revolved around the core line up of John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, Catherine O'Hara, Harold Ramis, and Dave Thomas. The second season has a higher budget, and a more polished look to the sets, but loses none of the biting satire from the original show. This release presents the second season in its entirety.DVD Features:Region (unknown)Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33

Roger Moore rose to fame in spectacular style as one of the many actors to portray the character of James Bond. But Moore first got a foothold in the entertainment industry with his portrayal of Simon Templar, also known as THE SAINT. Something of a televisual counterpart to 007, Templar solves crimes, looks good, and charms the pants of any women he comes across (and there are many). This release documents the early years of the show, offering some fascinating viewing for fans of the handsome scoundrel, and a great entry point for the curious viewer.DVD Features:Region (unknown)Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.333 Disc SetAdditional Release Material: History of The Saint Biographies: 1. Reba - Season 2 (DVD) Reba - Season 2 (DVD) » Reba - Season 2 (DVD)

Popular country music singer Reba McIntyre stars in this hit family comedy series that airs on the WB channel. Reba is a recently divorced parent of three, whose dentist husband Brock (Christopher Rich, MURPHY BROWN) has left her for his painfully perky--and pregnant--assistant, Barbra Jean (Melissa Peterman, FARGO). Simultaneously, she learns that her 17-year-old daughter Cheyenne (JoAnna Garcia, FREAKS AND GEEKS, PARTY OF FIVE, AMERICAN PIE 2) is pregnant as well, and she intends to marry her football-star boyfriend, Van (Steve Howey). Reba`s daughter Kyra (Scarlett Pomers, STAR TREK: VOYAGER) is in the early stages of a rebellious and precocious adolescence, while her youngest son, Jake (Mitch Holleman, DADDIO),
maintains a calm within the storm. The trials and travails of this offbeat family are presided over by the take-charge, loving Reba, who manages to save the day almost every time, and whose motherly wisdom and openhearted good humor carries the show. In the second season, Cheyenne and Van struggle to balance the needs of their new baby with their college careers, while Reba takes a job working for Brock, and begins a new relationship with Brian, whom she meets through speed-dating.

Timeslip - The Complete Series (DVD) Timeslip - The Complete Series (DVD) » Timeslip - The Complete Series (DVD)

Resembling a 1970s version of QUANTUM LEAP, the British TV show TIMESLIP follows two high-school kids--Simon Randall (Spencer Banks) and Liz Skinner (Cheryl Burfield)--as they travel through time. While on vacation, the two kids discover that they have the ability to go back to the past or forward to the future, and they set off on some wild adventures. Amazingly prescient, the show included what were, at the time, fantastical ideas--ideas that came closer to reality in subsequent decades: we find our two young heroes travelling to an ominous future where cloning is widespread and the ruinous effect of global warming wreaks havoc on the world. A sizeable cult following has kept the show alive over the years, and fans will doubtless be delighted to know that this release contains every TIMESLIP episode ever broadcast.
