Two P.D. James novels are brought to the screen in this collection. DEATH IN HOLY ORDERS: Based on the book by British mystery writer P.D. James, DEATH IN HOLY ORDERS tells the tale of a small religious college torn apart by murder and suicide. When the body of a young male student is discovered buried in the sand his powerful father pressures Scotland Yard to conduct a most unwelcomed investigation. One of James`s favorite characters, Detective Adam Dalgliesh, must come to the school to attempt to solve the mystery.THE MURDER ROOM: This adaptation of the P.D. James novel THE MURDER ROOM is a made-for-TV production. Commander Adam Dalgliesh (Martin Shaw) is sent to a museum to investigate the mysterious murders that have occurred there. With a special room designed to show visitors the details of murders from throughout history, Dalgliesh realizes that some of the cases he is investigating closely mirror those on display in the museum. Drama and intrigue ensues, and the identity of the murderer will keep viewers guessing right up until the inevitable unveiling.
