A surreal British comedy that some have compared to MONTY PYTHON, THE GOODIES uses a similar brand of slapstick, dry verbal wit, and absurdity. It lasted for over ten years on the BBC, but often had difficulty finding the right audience. Many believed it was for children, but others pointed to the fact that much of the comedic material was inappropriate for the young, revealing how difficult it was to pin down the program conventionally. Every episode, the three protagonists--Tim, Graeme, and Bill--get themselves into a strange situation because of their willingness to do anything, anytime, and anywhere.
